Night terrors occur when a child is asleep but they are crying, may have their eyes wide open and seem to be emotionally traumatized. When they wake in the morning they do not remember this occurring. This occurs for about 2% of children ages 1 to 8 years old.

Sleep walking is another occurrence where the child's eyes are wide open but seem to be looking right through you and walking through the house. Some have been known to open doors and leave the home.

Both incidence, night terrors and sleep walking, happen usually the first two hours of sleep, last up to 30 minutes, and the child does not remember the episode in the morning. It is recommended that you do not try to wake the child. If a child is sleep walking it is recommended that you lead them back to bed.
Snoring is a sound we hear when there is an obstruction of the airway during sleep. Snoring has been linked to behavior issues such as hyperactivity, inattention, and obesity.
